Au Petit Port de l’Houmeau is a pretty, quiet and rural site on the edge of the small seaside village of l’Houmeau. The friendly English speaking owners ensure high standards of maintenance. There are 130 pitches (around half of which are for touring) and of a good size. Most are equipped with 5/10A electricity and virtually all offer some degree of shade. Larger motorhomes may have difficulty finding a suitable pitch during busy periods. There are relatively few amenities here, but the village shops, bars and a good restaurant are close by. A good base for exploring the Charente Maritime coast, the site’s proximity to the fascinating town of La Rochelle and within cycling distance of the Ile de Ré is a bonus.
