Alan Rogers Review
Alpenblick is an all-year site, located at the heart of the Bernese Oberland just 100 m. from Lake Thun. Many improvements, including an excellent toilet block, have been made in recent years. A Swiss chalet-style building houses the reception, shop and a bar/restaurant that is very popular with campers and local residents alike. There are around 100 touring pitches and a further 80 residential pitches. The touring pitches all have 10/16A electrical connections and a number of good hardstanding pitches are available for motorhomes.
Campers here may request a special tourist card with many benefits including free local bus transport. This is, of course, a superb area for cycling and walking. The lake is very popular for all manner of watersports and cruisers depart from a point very close to Alpenblick. The site’s restaurant specialises in local food such as ‘schnitzelbrot’ and dining on the terrace is possible in good weather.
Sanitary block with hot showers, some washbasins in cubicles and a family shower room. Facilities for disabled visitors. Laundry facilities. Shop (Seasonal) with daily delivery of bread.
