Alan Rogers Review
Al Yag is an eclectic site with older style sanitary facilities, where the number of hot showers is low (even for Sicily). However, sites in this area are in high demand in July and August when this site may prove useful (and cold showers may prove welcome in the heat). The compensation here is a very good pool, spa and excellent sea bathing in a protected area. The pitches are of average size, mostly in shade. Overall the balance of the site is uneven with good water and sporting facilities, shop, bar and restaurant, and an excellent disco, but very tired looking pitches and sanitary facilities.
The supermarket is well stocked and the bar and restaurant are pleasant. Many Sicilians have their own permanent units here and the long stay units give the site an undeserved, somewhat unattractive appearance.
Basic sanitary facilities, clean when seen, provide few hot showers limited to certain periods in the day. Shop with good range of foods. Newsagent and fishmonger (mornings). Pizzeria, restaurant and bar with terrace, all overlooking the sea. Swimming pool and large spa. Play area. Beach volleyball, football and boules. Large attractive disco and entertainment area. Miniclub. Direct sea access and pebble beach.

From A18 motorway take Acireale exit and follow signs to Guardia, then Pozzillo and then Riposto. The site is on the coast between Riposto and Pozzillo. It is some distance from the major roads and the access roads are narrow.
