Camping Acquaviva lies on the rocky north coast of Elba, just 8 km. from Portoferraio – the port and principal town. One side of the site is set along the pebble beach with a boat launching point. There are 110 pitches here, 70 for touring with 3A electricity and high oleander hedges. Some are in premium spots overlooking the beach and others are very privately tucked away. A few are scattered amongst a busy terraced bungalow area (40 for hire) opposite the main touring pitches. A small canvas-covered restaurant offers a limited menu, and some animation is provided in high season.

A frequent, inexpensive bus service nearby links the site with Portoferraio (and its popular weekly market). Historical sites abound across the island, standing testament to Elba’s colourful past as a strategic and trading base. Two museums display artefacts including the island’s Iron Age origins, as well as Napoleon’s sojourn. The Medici castle at Portoferraio is recommended.

Directions to Camping Acquaviva

From the port of Portoferraio, follow the signs ‘tutti direzione’ and then ‘Enfola – Viticcio’ for approximately 6 km. Camping Acquaviva is clearly signed.
