A site that lives up to its name, this one is very large, with over 800 pitches. There are 535 numbered touring pitches in rows spread over undulating sand dunes with sparse grass under pine, all with 10A electricity, and over 200 chalets and mobile homes to rent. The site is served by eight fairly modern and fairly well maintained toilet blocks around the site. Some of the terraced pitches at the rear of the site have views of the impressive bridge onto the Ile de Noirmoutier, and there is direct access to a sandy beach via a gate. Some road noise is to be expected from the nearby bridge.
Also on site is an outdoor heated swimming pool. In July and August, the site offers clubs for children of all ages whilst adults can enjoy themed tapas, karaoke, cabaret, and aquagym. Whilst in high season this site is very busy, in low season it is rather quiet with only the pool and the playground open. Footpaths lead from the site to the village of Fromentine where there are shops and services plus the historic 19th-century Estacade and an old lighthouse. You can also buy oysters and other seafood. Follow the road from the site to the right under the bridge to the seafront and you can join the long distance coast footpath and other forest walks around the area.
