Alan Rogers Review

Caerfai Bay Caravan & Tent Park is about as far west as one can get in Wales. Located near to St Davids, Britain’s smallest city, noted for its cathedral and Bishop’s Palace. This cliff-top park, just a 15 minute walk from St Davids, has direct access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and a magnificent sandy beach. Family-run with an emphasis on peace, quiet and relaxation, the perfect spot for walkers, rock climbers, water sports enthusiasts, star gazers & wildlife lovers. There are 107 touring pitches (inc.78 for tents) and 59 electric hook-ups (10A), & 33 hardstandings. The site is spread over three open fields with magnificent seaviews, one for caravans and motorhomes with hardstanding and electric as well as accommodation to rent; two for tents with some electric points. Main access roads are tarmac.

As well as milk and cheese, you can also purchase other delicious local produce from the Caerfai farm shop across the lane (opens at the end of May), and other shops and services in St Davids are just a mile away. Site lighting is deliberately minimal, so a torch would be useful.

Three main buildings house the sanitary facilities (two are heated), one by reception contains facilities for disabled visitors and families, dishwashing, laundry, cooking facilities (hot plate, microwave and fridge). A small block offers 3 unisex cubicles (WC and basin). The third, in the tent field, includes 4 family rooms, dishwashing, microwave, fridge, toaster, wet suit washing and drying area. Motorcaravan services. Bicycle storage. Gas. Dog walking area (dogs not accepted in the tent field in high season). WiFi (charged). Secure charging points for phones/tablets. Lounge with tourist information, maps & book exchange.
