Alan Rogers Review

Surrounded by a country park, and on an historic cotton mill site, this Caravan Club site is perfectly located for a relaxing holiday. There are no on-site facilities but there is a pub and an activity centre just yards from the entrance. There are 85 touring pitches available, 64 of which are on gravel hardstanding. Electricity (16A) is available to all and six pitches are fully serviced. The grounds and buildings are immaculately kept, demonstrating the attention to detail at this neat and attractive park. A preserved steam railway runs alongside its boundary. The River Irwell runs through the Burr Country Park where you can enjoy plenty of pleasant walks.

Bury, with its world famous market, is a short drive or bus ride away and from there you could visit Manchester by tram.

One centrally located sanitary block includes facilities for babies and disabled visitors. Showers are well equipped and washbasins are either open style or in cabins. Laundry room with coin-operated washing machine and dryer. Motorcaravan services. Small shop for basics and tourist information. WiFi throughout (charged).
