Alan Rogers Review

If you are looking for a really nice location for your visit to the south-west highlands, this site will take some beating as it surrounded by breathtaking mountains and glens. Located on the banks of Loch Linnhe, the site is also within easy reach of Fort William, Glen Coe, Ben Nevis and Aonach Mor mountains. You will also have access to many cycling and walking paths, shops and restaurants. The site comprises of 99 hardstanding pitches (some seasonal) all with 16amp electricity, the pitches at the lochside are very popular and awnings are not allowed on these so as to protect the view of those pitched behind. The nearby Corran ferry gives access to the Isle of Mull, Glenfinnan and Mallaig.

When you do fancy an expedition you can take a cable car to the upper terminal (2,300ft) of the Aonach Mor Mountain, for fabulous views of the whole mountain range, the Great Glen and the islands of Skye and Rhum. The site also gives you easy access to guided mountain walks if you choose. Another landmark that is not to be missed is Glencoe - you'll find it eerie and exciting being in the location of one of the most the famous massacres in history, still legendary after three centuries. You can also enjoy the journey on the Jacobite steam train from Fort William to Mallaig (advance booking is advised).

N.B. Non-members may join on site and make a substantial saving on pitch fees, please speak to site staff for more details and to check pitch availability before arrival.
