Alan Rogers Review
Brook Lodge Farm, a small award-winning site, in the heart of Wrington Vale with delightful views across to the Mendips. With just 29 informal pitches, all with electricity, in the main field and space for a further 15 in the paddock. Five pitches are seasonal, and five more provide hardstandings. A winner of the Green Tourism Gold award and a regular finalist in the Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism awards. Trout fishing is just 2 miles away, and there are numerous walking and cycling routes available. Two play areas are available for children. Debbie House, the director, has many plans to improve the experience of campers in what is already a delightful site. The North Somerset coast is within travelling distance, as is Cheddar, Wells and Wookey Hole
A lovely small, quiet, eco-friendly site close to Bristol yet in the heart of the Somerset countryside. Dogs are accepted by prior arrangement, and family groups are welcome. The site cooperates with various glamping companies, and these are accommodated in the paddock and thus have access to the new shower room. A small brook borders the main field, which is surrounded by mature trees, hedges and flowers. This is an excellent site for young children to explore and enjoy.
There is an excellent sanitary block by the reception for those in the main field. Private washing cubicles and showers. Plus a superb wet room for disabled visitors, which also has baby changing facilities. A further en-suite type shower room with WC and wash basins is located in the paddock. Two play areas for children. Local buses pass by the site. Fridge and freezer available and WiFi (free). BBQs are available.
