Alan Rogers Review
Brynich is a well kept park now owned by the Caravan and Motorhome Club. With a picturesque setting and super views towards the Brecon Beacons, it has been developed by its previous owners to very high standards. Originally farmland near the Brecon bypass, there are now three level, hedged and neatly mown camping fields with tarmac roads and a mixture of hardwood trees and shrubs maturing well. These fields provide for 115 touring units of all types with hardstanding on 52 pitches, 108 electricity points (10/16A) and 54 multi-serviced pitches with grass or gravel hardstandings. In a sloping field leading down to a stream is an extensive dog walk on one side of the Brynich Brook.
On the other bank is an adventure play area. The stream is shallow and an added attraction along with the play equipment, and there is a large recreation field for ball games. For smaller children there is some play equipment near reception and the Play Barn which provides extensive indoor entertainment for the under-12s (charges apply). In a beautifully converted barn adjacent to the campsite, a fully licensed restaurant uses local produce in its good value menus. Being within the Brecon Beacons National Park, this is a good area for hill walking and climbing.
