Bere Marsh Farm

Bere Marsh Farm

England, South West, Dorset, Shillingstone

May - September.

Ref: UK2075

Alan Rogers Review

Bere Marsh is an 80-acre organic farm offering peace quiet, with one mile of the River Stour running alongside for fishing. The facilities at this tents-only site (max. five) are limited to a water tap near the meadow. There are no toilets, so campers must be prepared to arrive equipped with a camping toilet. Four fire pit areas have been designated for campfires and barbecues; wood as well as Dorset charcoal are for sale at the farm. Cars are unloaded about 200 m. from the field and then driven down to the farm for secure parking. Fresh eggs from the hens and ducks and, by mid August, home produced sausages and pork burgers can be purchased. Dogs are not accepted due to the proximity of ewes and lambs.

Single water tap. Fishing (charged).
