Alan Rogers Review

Baia Verde is a large, mature, sprawling family site with direct access to a narrow sandy beach. The 1138 level, dusty pitches (with 3A electricity) are totally shaded by very large pines and vary in size. When we visited in June, the cicadas were in full throat! The site has an impressive range of amenities, including a busy shopping and restaurant complex. This is a huge site, very popular with Italians in peak season, with an entertainment programme primarily aimed at youngsters. The programme includes a beach gym, various sports tournaments and loud evening discos. There is plenty to do on the beach – pedaloes and canoes are available for hire, along with loungers and parasols – and there’s plenty to see in the area. A small number of mobile homes are available to rent.

Florence, Siena and San Gimignano are all within reach. A number of excursions may be booked on site and a free shuttle bus links with the ferry terminal for trips to the Tuscan islands.
