Autocamp Kohoutek is situated on the edge of the town near the sports ground. Just outside the entrance are the inevitable drab multi-storey flats, but trees screen these from view on the site. The Jested mountain at 1,012 m. dominates the distant skyline and is accessible by cable way for winter skiing and summer sightseeing. There are 130 touring pitches, 80 with electricity (10A), between the bungalows and different varieties of trees which give a peaceful air. Some caravan pitches are divided by low hedges on the edge of the site with views across open countryside.
Tarmac roads lead to the camping places. There is a good welcome and a cosy bar and restaurant. Although Liberec does not have a great deal of interest, it does have a zoo, a botanical garden and a Renaissance château. It is set in grand countryside near the Jizera mountains and not far from the German town of Gorlitz.
