Alan Rogers Review
This friendly campsite is part of the Astrid Lindgren’s Värld theme park and lies adjacent to the park. The whole park is designed for small children (up to the age of 12) and it provides a safe environment for play in all areas. Take two or three days of your holiday to visit the park and enjoy a stay at the campsite. Obviously you could stay longer on one of the 100 grassy, sunny pitches or in one of the 75 chalets to explore the Vimmerby area. This is a true paradise for children!
The campsite itself is small and the facilities are limited but of high quality. It provides a reception/shop, a restaurant with takeaway facilities and a clean and well maintained toilet block, plus lots of space for children to play. There is a large play area and between the pitches and chalets there are several swings and slides, etc. The theme park is where all the characters of the books of Astrid Lindgren come to life. It appeals to the imagination of children and instead of big roller coasters, they will enjoy Emile’s farm, Pippi Longstocking’s house and other similar attractions.
Clean, well maintained toilet block has separate areas for men and women. Communal changing room for men. Adequate number of toilets and showers. Restaurant and takeaway. Reception and shop (where you can buy entrance tickets). Large play area. Minigolf. Various swings, slides etc. scattered around the site. Astrid Lindgren’s Värld fun park directly adjacent.

Travelling either way to Vimmerby (on the 33 or 34 roads) the theme park is clearly signed. Just before the theme park car park, take the road on the right hand side leading to the campsite.
