Alan Rogers Review
A small, friendly, family owned site developed from and old orchard next to the River Thames. The site is on level lawn, with plenty of shady trees and hardcore paths to all areas. Some of the 47 pitches are hedged but most are open and to avoid overcrowding the owners discourage large outfits and multi-pod tents. There are very few facilities on-site but it is a convenient location for visiting Windsor and Legoland and there are frequent trains from Taplow to London. Being next to the M4, there is traffic noise.
Modern tiled sanitary block includes washbasins and showers. Some extra wide cubicles are provided for disabled visitors. Hairdryers. Laundry facilities. Reception has tourist information and a vending machine with chocolate bars and snacks. Small play area with swings and climbing tower.
- Childrens Play Area
- Facilities for disabled visitors
- Pets allowed
Leave the M4 at exit 7 and take the A4 west towards Maidenhead. At the second traffic lights, turn left into Marsh Lane, then first right into Old Marsh Lane and follow signs.
