Altomincio Family Park is situated alongside the River Mincio, 7 km. south of Lake Garda. There is a power station nearby with tall chimneys. This is a huge bungalow park with a hub comprising swimming pools and all the themed site facilities, tailored specifically for children. There is an Olympic size pool and a fun pool as well as a series of fantastic water slides and rapids. A varied entertainment and activity programme is in place in peak season and special activities for children, as well as a baby sitting service, provided by the entertainment team. On-site amenities include a large supermarket, some sports activities, a mini club and games area, and a pleasant, themed restaurant. A good selection of fully equipped mobile homes is available to rent through agencies.

Bicycle hire is popular here – the attractive resort of Peschiera, on Lake Garda, can be reached in 15 minutes. Altomincio is also within easy access of two of Italy’s best loved theme parks: Gardaland, the country’s largest theme park, and Canevaworld, Italy’s largest water park. Alternatively, the Bugatti-Ferrari museum at Modena is close at hand and well worth a visit for all motorsports enthusiasts. A site daily ‘newspaper’ is produced and excursions are offered. Cars may not be parked by the rented units.

Directions to Altomincio Family Park

Site is north of the town of Valeggia sul Mincio. From Peschiera and the A4 autostrada head south on SS249 towards Valeggia and follow signs shortly after passing Salionze. Proceed with caution – approach roads are very narrow.
