Alan Rogers Review

At the southern end of Alderbury/Whaddon village, this small, simple touring park is conveniently located for visiting Salisbury and the New Forest. Situated on level ground, there is a gravel access road to the 39 numbered pitches, 26 with 10A electricity and 12 on hardstanding. The park has some mature trees for shade, as well as younger trees, shrubs and flowers. The village shop and post office, a pub serving meals and a bus stop are within easy, level walking distance of the entrance. There are good daytime bus services to Salisbury, Southampton and Romsey. The country lanes around the area are good for cycling and walking.

Salisbury Museum, the Cathedral and its Close are all well worth a visit. There is some road noise, most noticeable at the far end of the park.

The toilet block has recently been refurbished and is basic but clean. Showers in cubicles with curtain. Separate room for disabled visitors. Freezer, washing machine and microwave. Gas supplies. American motorhomes accepted by prior arrangement. Wifi.
