Alan Rogers Review
Alannia Costa Blanca (formerly Marjal) is a fully equipped site situated 15 km. inland on the southern Alicante coast, close to the towns of Crevillente and Catral, and the Parque Natural de El Hondo. The 1,200 hardstanding pitches range in size from 90-95 sq.m, and all have electricity (16A), water, drainage, TV and high-speed internet connections (charged).
On-site amenities include a tropical-themed swimming pool complex and a state-of-the-art wellness centre. There is full disabled access, including at the swimming pool and staffed gym. There is accommodation to rent, including 46 Balinese-style bungalows adapted for disabled visitors. The site is ideal for both family holidays in summer and for winter sun-seekers.
The site’s principal restaurant is open all year and, during summer months, features a buffet with fresh, local produce. The site has been developed along very strict environmental guidelines. More than 7,000 mulberry trees have been planted (beware of fallen fruit sticking to shoes - it stains!) and every effort has been made to conserve resources and use sustainable materials. Activities are organised for all ages - Spanish lessons, games, live music, shows etc. For younger campers, there is a children’s club and junior club, led by the site’s mascot.
Six modern, spotlessly clean toilet blocks have washbasins and free showers in cabins. Facilities for children, babies & disabled visitors. Well equipped shop. Bar, restaurant and takeaway (all year). Swimming pool complex with outdoor pool (Mar-Sept), heated indoor pool (all year), sauna and Hammam. Fully equipped gym. Wellness centre. Hairdresser. Play areas. Games rooms. Library. Multisports courts. Minigolf. Tennis. Football. Entertainment and activity programme (inc Spanish lessons). Kids club. Bicycle hire. Car hire service. Doctor and vet. Free WiFi areas. Mobile homes and chalets to rent.
Take the southbound A7 coastal motorway until you reach the fork close to Elche-Crevillente. Continue on AP7 towards Cartagena and then take exit 730 (Catral) and follow signs to the site.
