Alan Rogers Review

Situated close to Abbey Wood, it is hard to believe that this park is in London and the wardens have made every effort to create an attractive environment. There are 156 level caravan pitches, all with 16A electricity and TV aerial connections; of these, 73 are hardstanding. A tent area provides 50 pitches. Many benefit from the shade of mature trees. A secure fence around the perimeter is linked to closed-circuit TV cameras and just outside is a late arrivals area with electricity and toilets, also protected by cameras. A number of camping pods are now available to rent.

This park attracts many UK and overseas visitors as it offers a very good base from which to visit central London. A train service runs every 15 minutes from Abbey Wood station (5 minutes’ walk) to either Charing Cross or Cannon Street (around 35 minutes).

Three modern, fully equipped sanitary blocks, two with underfloor heating, one designed to be open all year, include washbasins in cubicles, generous showers and baby/toddler washroom. Good private facilities for disabled visitors. Laundry facilities. Motorcaravan services. Gas. Bread, milk and cold drinks from reception (high season). Play area. Good travel and information centre. WiFi over site (charged).
