Woodlands Caravan Park

Harlech, Gwynedd, North Wales

Alan Rogers Review

This delightful little site is lovingly tended by its owners and has just 18 pitches for tourists, all with gravel hardstanding and electric hook-up (10A) for caravans and motorcaravans only. Tents are not accepted. There are also 22 privately owned holiday homes, and three holiday cottages. However, the location of this site certainly makes up for its diminutive size, nestling under the massive rock topped by Harlech Castle, now a designated World Heritage Site. The narrow lane running alongside the site up to the old town above, is the steepest hill in Britain.

Location

Getting there...
From Barmouth take A496 to Harlech and continue downhill past Royal St David’s Golf Course. Fork right immediately before railway crossing, and site is 200 yds. on right. DO NOT turn towards town centre which lies on B4573, it is very narrow and congested. O.S.GR: SH582314.
