Wood Farm is an excellent, family run park, maintained to high standards and with an indoor swimming pool. On sloping, well landscaped ground, it has splendid rural views across the Marshwood Vale. There are 196 pitches for touring units, all with 10A electricity of which 25 are for tents on a grassy, terraced field. The standard pitches are neat, level all-weather pitches with hardstanding, electricity (10A) and TV connections, and provision for awnings. Some are divided by neat, box-like leylandii hedging, some are terraced. There are 57 premium pitches with water, waste water and TV connections. Around 80 caravan holiday homes are in separate areas.
Facilities
Four modern, well equipped toilet blocks can be heated and include some washbasins in cubicles, en-suite family rooms (charged). Excellent facilities for disabled campers. Baby care unit. Two laundry rooms. Motorcaravan service point. Shop by reception. Conservatory cafe with sun terrace and viewing area for the swimming pool serving food all day and supper on 2/3 nights per week. Fish and chip van several times weekly. Good heated indoor pool (charged). Recreation hall. Internet access. Bridge club. Outdoor draughts. Outdoor tennis court. Play field. Two coarse fishing ponds (carp, rudd, roach, tench, perch) adjacent – day and weekly tickets (licence required from park).
