First opened by the parents of the present owners, the careful and sympathetic development of Wilksworth continues with the aim of providing all the ‘mod cons’ yet remain in keeping with the environment. It is a spacious, quiet park, well suited for families with a heated outdoor pool which has been totally refurbished in a beautiful Spanish style. The rural situation is lovely, just outside Wimborne and around 12 miles from the beaches between Poole and Bournemouth. The park takes 65 caravans and 25 tents mainly on grass. All pitches have electricity, ten also have water and drainage. There are 77 privately owned caravan holiday homes in a separate area.
Facilities
The central, well equipped toilet block has underfloor heating, washbasins in cubicles, a family bathroom and a shower/bath for children with baby changing. Facilities for disabled visitors. Laundry room. Modern reception and shop (basics only, limited hours, Easter-30 Sept). Gas supplies. Freezer for ice packs. Attractive coffee shop serving simple meals with takeaway service (weekends and B.Hs. only outside the main season). Heated 40x20 ft. swimming pool (unsupervised, but walled and gated, May-Sept). Small paddling pool with slide. Adventure play area. BMX track. Golf practice net. Two tennis courts, one full and one short size. Games room. Winter caravan storage.
