Alan Rogers Review
Wellington Country Park is open to the general public on payment (entry for campers however, is included in your pitch fees) and many visit it for a day out. It contains children’s play areas, slides, sand pits, nine-hole crazy golf, animal farm and petting barn, miniature railway (£1 extra), four nature trails to follow, a deer park and a host of play equipment to climb in and on. It is situated within a woodland which is part of a 350-acre park. There are 85 pitches, 15 non-electric for tents, 56 with electricity (6A) and 22 hardstandings. A few premium pitches offer slightly more privacy. It is a very pleasant setting and once the park closes at 18.00 all is much quieter. You should aim to arrive before 16.30 (low season) and 17.30 (high season) when the main reception centre closes.
