Village Camping Santa Fortunata

Sorrento, Campania, South

Alan Rogers Review

Village Camping Santa Fortunata is situated on the hillside just outside Sorrento among olive and lemon groves. There is plenty of shade but low hanging branches make some of the pitches unsuitable for larger units. There is a steep tarmac approach to some but the stunning views over the bay more than compensate. Pitches are of average size with several spaces for larger units and there is a feeling of spaciousness as many are separated by trees and shrubs intersected with wooden constructed walkways. Two small beaches can be reached via long steep inclines. A daily excursion to Capri (well worth taking) departs from one of the beaches. The good sized pool, terrace and bar are especially welcome after a day’s sightseeing. This pleasant site is ideally situated as a base from which to explore local attrations.

Location

Getting there...
From the A3 (Naples - Salerno) follow signs to Pensisola Sorrentina. Exit at Castellammare di Stabia and on through Sorrento. Then take SS145 towards Massa Lubrense, running along Via Capo. Site is 1.5 km. past Sorrento (which can be extremely busy - the best time to travel this coastline is 13.00-15.00 during siesta).
