The superb, irregularly shaped pool with its bar and ‘gelateria’ are the hub of Vascellero. Signora Franca and her family aim to please their guests, whether it is for summer holidays or skiing in the winter. The camping area just inside the gate is modest, but there are 100 pitches of gravel and sand under artificial shade and giant poplars. The pool area is a delightful place to while away the day and the beach is equally tempting. However these facilities are not normally used by campers and an additional charge is payable. A sophisticated beach bar serves food on terraces overlooking the sea.

Take SS106 Taranto - Reggio road. At km. 299.2 marker in village of Cariati turn towards beach at campsite signs. Site is well signed over the railway line.
