Alan Rogers Review
This attractive, peaceful campsite is adjacent to the Gloucester - Sharpness Canal. Located behind the Tudor Arms public house, a gate clearly identifies the entrance and reception is up a short path on the left. There are many trees and hedges, particularly surrounding the site, so the canal is not visible. Attractively laid out on two separate fields, there are 75 pitches, all with electric hook-ups (16A), and 50 with hardstanding. The old orchard is for long stay or adults only units, with gravel hardstandings, and the more open grassy meadow for family touring units. There is also a rally field beyond the meadow.
Facilities
The toilet building (can be heated in winter) is located to one side of the orchard and provides all the usual facilities including pushbutton hot showers. A second, high quality shower block with underfloor heating provides large shower cubicles, private washing cubicles, baby changing room and facilities for disabled visitors. Laundry. Gas available. Some site lighting but a torch would be useful. Gate locked 22.30-07.00. WiFi (charged). No charcoal barbecues.
