In a village situation in the quieter western part of the island, The Orchards Holiday Park, a park for all seasons, has panoramic views of rolling countryside and the Solent. The park’s neat 11-acre touring area has 168 marked pitches for tents, caravans and motorcaravans, broken up by apple trees, mature hedges and fences. All pitches have electricity, 62 have hardstandings and 22 are ‘all service’ pitches, also with hardstanding. A meeting room is suitable for small rallies. A separate area contains 64 caravan holiday homes. The Orchards is a good base from which to explore the island and there are two beaches within five miles.

An excellent new facilities centre provides 24 shower and washbasin cubicles, a family bathroom, 2 family shower rooms, fully accessible facilities, spacious laundry and ironing area, walkers’ drying room, baby changing room, vegetable preparation and indoor dishwashing area all with underfloor heating. Motorcaravan services. Shop. Gas supplies. Indoor heated pool (Feb-Dec). Outdoor heated pool (May-Sept). Licensed coffee shop. Takeaway (mid Mar-Sept). Play areas. Football pitch. Fitness equipment. TV and amusements rooms. WiFi throughout (charged).
