This modernised site, facing south onto Lake Lugano must rank as one of the best in Switzerland for a complete family holiday. There are 250 numbered pitches (200 for touring units) all with 10A electricity and 26 with water and drainage. Trees in most parts of the site offer shade to those who prefer less direct sunshine. Cars must be left in the car park, which makes the site less cluttered and safer for children. The site is a short way from the airport so there will be some aircraft noise. Roads have been re-laid and a marina has been built.

Getting there...
Piodella is on Bellinzona - Ponte Tresa road; take motorway exit 49 Lugano-Nord for Ponte Tresa and turn left at T-junction in Agno. Follow signs for Piodella or TCS at roundabout. Cross the bridge and turn very sharp right at the Suzuki garage. Site is at south end of the airport.
