TCS Camping Fanel

Gampelen, Bern, Central

Alan Rogers Review

This Swiss Touring Club site is particularly suited to families with children. From the terrace of a well provisioned self-service restaurant there is a view of the small swimming pool and the large grass area that leads to the gently shelving waters of the lake and a small wooden jetty. The site has 860 pitches (140 for tourists) which means that it becomes quite busy at weekends and holidays. The touring pitches are divided into three sections; one with large service facilities, an open grass area and another among the pine trees with little grass. This quiet site is located in a protected nature area, a habitat for beavers, wild boar and foxes.
