In a beautiful location below Rosedale Moor and on the edge of a popular village, this is a campsite that is highly suitable for walkers. The site itself has a wide entrance on the edge of the village and, as it is within the National Park, the buildings are in the local stone and in keeping with the area. The site gently rises alongside the river, nestling within the valley. There are 120 touring pitches, a few with hardstanding and 72 with 10A electricity connections. There are some caravan holiday homes (private) and seasonal touring pitches in their own areas. The majority have superb views of the surrounding hills.
Facilities
Sanitary facilities with underfloor heating include free showers and hairdressing units. They may be under a little pressure when the site is very full and are at a distance from some pitches. Facilities for disabled visitors and baby changing. Laundry facilities. Reception provides some basic provisions, sweets, maps and a small selection of camping accessories. Gas supplies. Games room with pool and video games. Large play area with space for ball games. Entrance barrier controlled by card (£10 deposit).

Getting there...
Rosedale is signed from the A170, 2 miles west of Pickering. Site is in the village of Rosedale Abbey, 8 miles north of the A170. Note: this park is adjacent to a Club site with a similar name. O.S.GR: SE725958.
