Alan Rogers Review
What makes Riverside so special is its location; close to the River Hamble, Mecca for the international yachtsman. The site is family-owned and covers five acres surrounded by trees and hedges; it has 123 pitches of which 77 are level for touring caravans and tents, with 53 electricity hook-ups (16A). The remaining pitches are used for lodges and residential and static caravans on slightly rising ground, but so well spaced and with plenty of grass they are not too obtrusive. A warden-run log cabin reception, with tourist information, including local bus and rail times, is at the entrance.
Facilities
A brand new lodge contains the sanitary facilities, including family and baby changing rooms. The old Portacabin style unit has been kept for busy periods. Small laundry room alongside. All these facilities could be under pressure in high season. Bicycle hire. Caravan storage.
