Red Shoot Camping Park

Ringwood, Hampshire, South

Alan Rogers Review

Red Shoot is set on four acres of open, slightly sloping, level grass, in the heart of the New Forest. A simple, rural retreat with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and forest, it is very popular in high season. There are 120 good sized pitches, 45 with electrical hook-ups (10A), served by a circular gravel road. There is no site lighting so a torch would be useful. The adjacent Red Shoot Inn (under separate ownership) serves hot or cold meals and brews its own real ales – Forest Gold and Tom’s Tipple. There are ample opportunities for walking, cycling and naturalist pursuits in the area.

Facilities

The toilet and shower facilities have been upgraded to a high standard with underfloor heating, including a family shower room/baby bath and changing area. Well equipped laundry room. Good unit for disabled visitors. Very well stocked, licensed shop. Fenced adventure-style playground.
