RCN, a Dutch company, runs a chain of nine good campsites in the Netherlands. They also operate seven sites in France, all with Dutch managers who speak good French and English. Les Collines de Castellane is pleasantly situated in the mountainous landscape of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. There are 160 touring pitches spread over a series of flat terraces and most have shade provided by trees. Access roads are very steep and it is quite a long way down to the bottom of the site. At the top of the site, near the entrance, is a combined reception and small restaurant area. The adjoining swimming pool is quite large and offers a water slide and a paddling pool for small children.
Facilities
Tiled, modern toilet facilities include individual cabins and facilities for disabled visitors and babies. Washing machines, dryers and ironing area. Shop. Library. Small restaurant (including takeaway) with terrace. Heated swimming pool with slides and paddling pool. Tennis court. Boules. Three play areas. Organised activities (May-Sept). WiFi room (charged).

Getting there...
Take the N85 (Route Napoléon) from Digné-les-Bains towards Castellane and Grasse. Site is 6 km. south of Castellane, on the right hand side of the road.
