Alan Rogers Review
Originally a simple ‘camping à la ferme’, this site has been developed by a Dutch organisation into an extensive, very well equipped and well maintained campsite. Located round two attractive fishing lakes, the 215 pitches, most available for touring, are spacious and attractively laid out with plenty of grass, hedges and trees, some young, some mature. All have electricity and a few are very large. There are 30 mobile homes for rent. An old barn has been converted into a large restaurant offering an extensive French menu, including a ‘menu du jour’. Also here are a small bar, a shop selling basic provisions and the reception area.
Facilities
Two large, modern sanitary blocks built in traditional style have excellent toilets, showers and washbasins in cubicles. Good facilities for disabled visitors. Attractively tiled areas for babies and children, with special toilets, basins and showers. Two smaller blocks provide additional facilities. Laundry room (‘buanderie’) with washing machines and dryers. Small shop. Bar counter with terrace. Restaurant. All facilities available all season. Heated outdoor swimming pool with slides. Play area. Bicycle hire. Fishing lakes. WiFi throughout (charged) around bar area. Internet point. Max. 1 dog. Mobile homes, chalets and ‘chambres d’hôte’ for rent.

Getting there...
Coëx is 29 km. west of La Roche-sur-Yon via the D938 to Aizenay, then the D6 St Gilles Croix-de-Vie road. Site is south of the village just off the D40 to La Chaize-Giraud and is clearly signed.
