Porthtowan Tourist Park

Truro, Cornwall, West Country

Alan Rogers Review

This delightful and sheltered park is set a mile back from the pretty seaside village of Porthtowan, a haven for surfers but enjoyed by families who can explore the rock pools and coves. The beach has Blue Flag status. In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, tall chimney stacks, stark against the sky, remain a reminder of the tin mining for which this area of Cornwall was once renowned. This is now a peaceful spot with plenty of space on the park and tall trees surrounding the three camping fields. There are 80 pitches around the edges of the fields, on level grass and half with 10A electricity. There are a few hardstandings.
