Alan Rogers Review
Parkcamping Maccagno is an unpretentious site which has immediate access to the shores of Lake Maggiore and a shingle beach. With hills on each side, the views day and night over the lake are spectacular. There is no entertainment or infrastructure, so the site will suit those who just wish to relax on a traditional, older style campsite. The 115 rather cramped pitches vary in size (40-80 sq.m), but are relatively flat and many have shade. They are numbered but demarcation is somewhat informal. The bar and shop have been completely refurbished, with a few snacks added to the menu.

Getting there...
Site is on the eastern side of Lake Maggiore, a little to the north of the town of Luino. Follow the SS394 towards Maccagno and Locarno. Site is well signed.
