This site is located on the edge of Shanklin, within walking distance of shops and services and only 1.5 miles from the beach. Lower Hyde is a large holiday park complex with around 200 caravan holiday homes for rent and 114 privately owned. The separate touring area has 85 well spaced and numbered pitches, all with 16A electricity and 26 with full services (hardstanding, water, waste water drain, electricity and TV hook-up). There is a further area for tents (no electricity). The touring area is in an elevated position with good views over the surrounding countryside. The pitches are large and flat, easily accessed, with tarmac roads and low-level lighting. Landscaping is good, with much wildlife and planting throughout.

Getting there...
From East Cowes ferry terminal take A3021 for 2.5 miles to roundabout and turn right on A3054 to Newport. From Newport take A3020 towards Sandown and Shanklin. After 1.5 miles (at Blackwater) continue straight on joining A3056 to Sandown. Keep on this road passing supermarket on the left. Shortly afterwards turn right into Whitecross Lane (signed Landguard Camping). Keep straight on, past Landguard and site is on right after 1 mile. O.S.GR:SZ576817.
