Alan Rogers Review
This is a friendly, lakeside site 8 km. south of Kautokeino. The 50 pitches are not marked but are generally on a firm sandy base amongst low-growing birch trees, with 20 electric hook-ups (16A) available. There are also cabins and motel rooms for rent. Although the grass is trying to grow, the ground is frozen from September until May so there are mainly hardstandings with some grass areas. The site is 35 km. north of the Finnish Border and is one day’s drive from North Cape. During the season when there are enough guests, the owner arranges an evening campfire around two Sami tents, with ‘lectures’ about the Sami people.
