Alan Rogers Review
Camping Stortemelk is located on the West Frisian island of Vlieland, separated from a broad sandy beach by sand dunes. The island is car (and caravan) free, and this is therefore a traditional tent campsite. There is a mixture of sandy and grassy pitches here. A number of tent pitches are located in the dunes – special, long sand pegs are needed (and these can be provided at reception). A number of attractive, traditionally styled chalets are available for rent. On-site amenities include a convivial café/restaurant, De Bolder, and this is also the base for concerts, as well as the campsite’s activity programme.
