Greendale Farm Caravan & Camping Park

Oakham, Rutland, Heart of England

Alan Rogers Review

This is a delightful little adults only park set in rolling countryside, ideal for those seeking peace and tranquillity. It is very eco-friendly and extremely well appointed for such a small site. There are only 13 pitches, all with 10 or 16A electricity, so it is worth checking availability! Reception, the shop and the toilet facilities are housed in a modern building adjoining the owners’ house. The shop is well stocked with essentials and local produce. Cooked breakfasts are available on Sundays. It also has one of the best presented and most comprehensive information displays we have seen on any campsite. New flower beds and wild flower planting add to the appeal of the site.

Getting there...
Oakham is 20 miles east of Leicester and Whissendine is just off the A606 Oakham - Melton Mowbray road. Approach park from this road and NOT through the village. From Oakham ignore the first turning to Whissendine, continue 2 miles and turn right at campsite sign. From Melton ignore first two turnings to Whissendine; turn left 0.6 mile after Rutland sign (at campsite sign). Park is on right in 0.6 mile. O.S.GR:SK819133.
