Now part of the Flower of May group, Goose Wood has a natural woodland setting. It provides a quiet, relaxed atmosphere from which to explore York itself or the surrounding Yorkshire Dales, Wolds and Moors. The park has a well kept air and a rural atmosphere, with 100 well spaced and marked pitches, all with metered 10A electricity on hardstanding (five also have water and drainage). For children, there is a first rate adventure playground in the trees at one side of the park and for adults, a small coarse fishing lake and attractive, natural woodland for walking. The park is popular with families in high season when it can be busy at weekends.
Facilities
Tiled and heated, the modern toilet block is spacious and well maintained. An additional unit provides shower rooms, WC and washbasins in cubicles and extra dishwashing sinks. Full facilities for disabled visitors. Laundry room. Motorcaravan service point. Well stocked shop (with gas). Fishing lake. Large adventure playground. Games room. Outdoor table tennis. Dogs (max. two per pitch), to be exercised in nearby woodland. WiFi throughout (charged).

Park is 6 miles north of York; from the A1237 York outer ring-road take the B1363 for Sutton-on-the-Forest and Stillington, taking the first right after the Haxby and Wigginton junction and follow park signs. N.B. Do not use postcode for sat navs; use lat/long or Carr Lane. O.S.GR: SE599629.
