Dawlish is a deservedly popular South Devon resort. Golden Sands is one of three Park Holidays sites in this area. There is some up and down walking to access a good range of facilities. There are only 28 touring pitches at Golden Sands, most with 16A electricity. Accommodation is mainly provided in mobile homes and chalets for rent. Dawlish Warren can be accessed on foot and is home to an important nature reserve. The Warren is the main roost for the wildfowl and wading birds of the Exe estuary. By way of contrast, Powderham Castle dates back over 600 years and is the historic home of the Earl of Devon.

Leave the M5 at exit 30 and take the A379 to Dawlish. Drive through Starcross and continue on the A379 for about 2 miles. Golden Sands is signed to the left 1 mile before reaching Dawlish.
