Alan Rogers Review
Forest Holidays is a partnership between the Forestry Commission and The Camping and Caravanning Club. The Spiers House site is set in a wide, natural looking clearing in the middle of Cropton Forest. It is an ideal location for a cycling or walking holiday without having to move your car. The site buildings, built in local stone, are set around a central courtyard with a pedestrian archway leading to the pitches. Sloping fields provide 150 pitches, which include 74 with 10A electricity and 55 with hardstanding. The welcoming reception also incorporates a well stocked shop. Reception provides leaflets for way-marked walks in the forest and orienteering.
