Campsite life is made for children. They love the freedom, the space, the ability to run around and explore. And of course there’s ample opportunity for getting grubby - and the chances of a bath are slim which is even better news for most under 12s.
There are plenty of campsites for kids across Europe. Many are fine for children but some really are exceptional. It’s not just a question of plonking down a play ground or having a couple of small bikes for hire. There should be a willingness to give children that little bit more, a positive rather than a passive attitude towards welcoming youngsters.
