Flusco Wood Caravan Park is still being developed but everything is to a very high standard. Set amongst woodland with the 12 touring pitches in bays, this park will meet the needs of those requiring a quiet holiday (with plenty of walks from the site) and also those travelling up or down the M6 looking for a quiet night’s rest. All pitches are on hardstanding, with an area near reception with hardstandings for motorcaravans. Recent additions here include new log cabins (privately owned), with more planned. The area abounds with wildlife including deer and red squirrels, as well as many breeds of birds (we watched a woodpecker taking food from a bird feeder).

Getting there...
From junction 40 of the M6 take A66 west towards Keswick. Go straight on at first roundabout, then after 2.5 miles take the right turn at top of hill (signed Flusco, Recycling Centre, Pottery and caravan sign). After 0.5 miles road turns right up hill (narrow, so take care in large units), site is on left at the top. Site is 4 miles from M6. O.S.GR: NY457293.
