Situated on the cliff tops, 4.5 miles from Scarborough and 2.5 miles from Filey, Flower of May is a large, family owned park for both touring caravans and caravan holiday homes. The entrance to the park is very colourful and the reception office is light and airy. The park is licensed for 300 touring units and 184 caravan holiday homes (45 to hire, the remainder privately owned). The touring pitches are pretty level, arranged in wide avenues, mainly on grass and divided by shrubs. There are 223 with electricity (10A), including 200 ‘star pitches’ with water and drainage also.
Facilities
Three toilet blocks, all refurbished in a light and colourful style, are fully tiled with washbasins in both cabins and vanity style. Baby rooms. Facilities for disabled visitors. Well stocked and licensed shop near the leisure centre, as is the laundry room. Two modern bar lounges, one for families and one for adults only, with discos in season. Café and takeaway fish and chips. Games room with TV. Large adventure playground. Pay and play golf course (£5 a round). Indoor swimming pool. Skateboard ramps. Basketball. Dog exercise area, but numbers and breeds are limited (one per pitch). WiFi throughout the park.
