New owners have completely transformed this site on the Ile de Noirmoutier, making it an ideal choice for a seaside holiday. It is on the edge of a forest with direct access across dunes to a pleasant sandy beach. One area has 113 touring pitches on generally level ground and separated by hedges; most have electricity and a few also have water and drainage. Two other areas have an impressive range of innovative tented accommodation, fully in keeping with the forest setting. The heated pool has two paddling pools and a jacuzzi, whilst the bar also serves a full range of meals and snacks. Other facilities are of an equally high standard, with attention to detail in evidence everywhere – there is even a soap dispenser and hand-dryer by the WCs.

Facilities

Two modern, very well-equipped sanitary blocks provide unisex, preset showers and washbasins (all in spacious cubicles), segregated WCs with handwashing, baby bath and changing station, and good facilities for disabled visitors. Hot water to dishwashing and laundry sinks. Washing machines and dryers. Chemical disposal at motorhome service point. Bar/restaurant and takeaway service (Jul/Aug; weekends May-Sept). Heated pool complex with paddling pools and jacuzzi (15/4-15/9). Wellness suite. Small gym. Internet room plus WiFi (charged). Small theatre. Multisports court. Table tennis. Pétanque. Cycle hire.

Getting there...
The Ile de Noirmoutier is 70 km. southwest of Nantes. At la Barre-de-Monts take D38 across bridge to island and continue to fifth roundabout. Take exit for La Guérinière and immediately turn left to site.
