In comparison with the larger (and justifiably popular) campsites in Drenthe, Camping Vorrelveen is a small, farm based site which reflects the pleasant countryside. The site is located on a working farm and enjoys beautiful views of the surrounding country. There are just 30 spacious pitches, all with 6A electricity, and the owners do their best to ensure a very personal, tranquil atmosphere. For example, your bread for breakfast will be delivered to your pitch and, in the evening, you can order home made pizzas and other dishes prepared in the farm kitchen! This is a prime example of a small, uncomplicated rural campsite.

Getting there...
Take exit 30 from the A28 following signs to Smilde. Turn right at the third bridge towards Hijken and then immediately turn left towards Vorrelveen. After a further 3 km. the site is on the left.
