Vliegenbos enjoys an appealing location in the middle of a large wood, but just ten minutes from the lively centre of Amsterdam. It also has good access to the Waterland region, best known for its open expanses and picturesque towns such as Marken, Edam and Volendam. The site has recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. It extends over an 8.5 acre site and has a good range of amenities including a restaurant, shop and recently renewed toilet blocks with facilities for disabled visitors. Pitches here are grassy and most have electrical connections. A separate, open field is available for tents (without electricity).

Renovated toilet blocks include facilities for disabled campers. Motorcaravan services. Restaurant. Shop. Cabins for rent. Reservations are not accepted for touring pitches. Dogs are not accepted.
