Alan Rogers Review
This site shares its name with Sicily’s premier attraction, the UNESCO World Heritage listed complex of temples and old city walls of the ancient town of Akragas, although these are about 2.5 km. to the north. Built as a beacon for homecoming sailors, the five Doric temples built on a ridge are an impressive sight even at a distance. This site is therefore a good base from which to explore these ruins, together with the numerous coachloads of tourists. With 195 unmarked pitches, about half are suitable for caravans and campers. The majority have access to 6A electricity.

Getting there...
From the main SS115 road or the SS640, follow signs to San Leone, just east of Agrigento. Site is on left just as you enter the town, about 700 m. before the coast.
